Easter..O the Wonderful Cross!

To prepare for Easter the boys decorated eggs - a first for us - they took it very seriously and had to have just the right color and sticker placement. While it was a little stressful to Mom, the boys loved it and the eggs turned out great!

On Sunday night we invited some fellow Michiganders to celebrate with us and we had a feast! Here is the ham I cooked - Delicious! What remained after supper is currently being made into pea soup! (After Chris got his required ham sandwich for lunch)
After dinner we set out for an Easter Egg Hunt - but wait, Chris Huizinga forgot his camera...all the kids patiently waited in the doorway while he went home to get it! Then the fun began! Each child had their own color of egg to find, which helped control the chaos. Chris hid the eggs in the afternoon and was quite proud of his hiding - he may have overestimated a 4year old's vertical jump though.
We had a great time! What a blessing to know we are forgiven and that the dead WILL rise again! This was a special Easter for us as we remember our family and dear friends the Peltons who are grieving the loss of their baby Samantha - how good to be able to trust in the power of the Resurrection!

Day 4 - Getting Off Campus

We had not left the confines of Rehoboth's campus since Sunday so this moring we went to our favorite donut shop in Gallup, Glenn's. Then we went to the Playground of dreams and also went and saw a "real" Thomas. Now the boys are taking naps and I need to clean the house before the baby sitter comes. I'm getting off campus by myself, to go to class of course.

Day 3 - Halfway

Today I was witness to the full imagination of a 3 year old and an almost 2 year old. Garrett and Clayton turned brooms into horses/bikes, covered me in every blanket they could find "putting me to bed", wanted to eat snacks outside, wanted me to be "the rain", created a new game called "my couch, my couch", jumped on a trampoline, and turned the roof of a toy house into boats. Now, the question that I want answered is do they get these crazy ideas from their mama or their daddy?

Day 2 - Opening Day

Day 2 of spring break without mama started with some crying as you can see Clayton doing below. We also cleaned the lobby before lunch. To celebrate opening day of the MLB season we went to the turf field to play some baseball! Check out the pictures and videos below.

And we'll have to work on the pitching thing.

Spring Break without Mama Day 1 - The begining

Well our spring break without Mama began today. We stared this morning with driving Nikki to the ABQ sunport so she could catch her flight to Colorado Springs to spend some time with our friends the Pelton's. Chris and the Boys drove back to Rehoboth and began life without Mama until Thursday afternoon. Check out some of the highlights from today!

The boys went fishing in the desert, gardened, and played some tetherball. We also went to nursery for the evening service and stayed the whole time even though we were the only ones there! Of course we ended the night with sherbet and a bath.
