Bedside Meetings and Snowy Fun

Over the weekend we had our small group meeting and put the boys down for a nap. After a while we heard them giggling and went to check on them. Garrett had climbed into Clayton's pack and play. When asked what woke him up he said "I needed to have a meeting with "Cayton" in his bed." So we explained that he needs to let Clayton take naps and not wake him up. Yesterday Garrett decided not to nap and all of his 'quiet' woke Clayton up. I decided to let them talk in their beds for a while and then discovered them like this! Garrett told me that he had first thrown in George the monkey and then Puppy, so he had to get in too! Hopefully this pattern doesn't continue - but it was pretty funny!

This morning was beautiful and sunny - but still chilly - so we bundled up and headed to the playground for some vitamin D! We had so much fun!

We decided the basketball court/ice rink would be fun. Here are the kids "skating" and playing hockey. Chris would be proud!

We Arrrg Pirates!

Happy 3rd Birthday Garrett! Garrett was so excited to be a pirate he started dressing up before Church Sunday morning.

Sunday night, yes during the Super Bowl, we had Garrett's party. We had so much fun celebrating Garrett's birthday on Sunday with a bunch of friends! We invited everyone to dress up as pirates and enjoy a treasure hunt, eat a pirate cake, and have an all-around good time. Garrett is blessed to have some good friends and we are blessed to have their parents as our friends! We really appreciated our friends Donovan, Janelle, Ivan, Audrea, and Erica who really got into the spirit of things and came dressed to the nines!

On Monday we celebrated with the left-over pieces of pirate and had a celebration with the four of us. Grandma called, Opa and Oma skyped us, and Garrett got to open a couple more presents. Over all, he had a great birthday! We are so blessed to have Garrett in our lives and love him so much! He is such a joy, and brings us so much laughter!

Now that Garrett is three, he has decided that all three year olds MUST be able to undress themselves, as we recently discovered. He then volunteered to "help Clayton get naked" too! The boys enjoyed it until they both peed on their bedroom floor and bath time was called! We've been enjoying some beautiful weather and are loving being able to play in our sand box again thanks to a birthday present of new shovels and rakes. It's great to have 60 degree days in February!
